They want me to do everything, know everything, give them everything, while the pays are getting lower and work conditions got tougher. I have a very specialized skills set that was pretty hot a few years back. After 2 years of struggle, trying to fund my own projects, burning my savings, I got very close from leaving tech.

But I landed a job, not a dream job, but a decent one. Not the highest paid one either, pretty big regression from the previous one, but one with a good team and good team mates. That’s what I missed most.

My job has changed so much, it’s in an AI startup as literally everyone is doing AI. If the bubble pops or the startup fail, I will be back on the bench. I’m literally only rebuilding my savings because I don’t expect IF I will be on the bench, but WHEN I will be.

Still trying to find time for side projects to get financial freedom. I wish no one to be on the search market right now, I consider myself lucky.
