Quiet layoffs had been happening for quite some time. Every few weeks we’d hear about so-and-so no longer working at the company. Then it hit my department…and I was a casualty after a little over a decade there.

They are scaling back their remote work (despite what they say in the press - all job postings are now hybrid). I feel like I have a countdown on my life. My email is crickets. I no longer have a career.
